Tramonti Rosso
Wine with a noble history, it is known by the ancient merchants of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi. It originates from Aglianico Tintore and Per’ e Palummo grapes. With an intense red color with violet reflections and a fruity note, it accompanies a whole range of fragrant and spicy aromas typical of the steep Mediterranean coasts. It presents an excellent combination of acidity, tannins, and softness that make the wine full and balanced.

Production zone
Municipality of Tramonti, ungrafted prefillossera vines grown in a typical Tramontis Pergola planted between 1930 and 1960 in the villages of Capitignano and Campinola.
Vineyard
Prevalent exposure at noon, with altimetry between 300 and 600 m / sea level, with loamy soil, consisting mainly of incoherent tuffs and detrital fraction on the pyroclastic one.

Maturation
Manual harvest with careful selection in the vineyard, delicate de-stemming and sending to the fermenters where, after inoculation of selected yeasts, the long maceration with the peels will take place. The daily movements of the mass, bring color and structure to this wine. After separation from the peels, the wine must continues to ferment for 15/20 days at a controlled temperature. It is then left for about 4 months in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees. The elevation continues in large-capacity Slavonian oak barrels for at least another 20 months.
Tasting notes
It has an intense cardinal red color, with violet reflections. To the nose it offers a pleasant range of aromas of red fruit accompanied by aromas of bramble and spice. Excellent combination of acidity, tannins and softness that make it full and balanced. A wine with a strong structure and a long life.
Suggested pairings
It goes well with two typical dishes of the Amalfi coast, stuffed squid and squid and potatoes. Also pleasant on meat dishes, on the classic Neapolitan lasagna.
