Tramonti, the territory "intra montes", is the green heart of the Amalfi Coast, been here since Roman times produces excellent mozzarella and cheeses, meats, vegetables... and wine.
On steep terraces carved into the sides of the torn mountains, are grown Piedirosso, Bianca Tenera e Bianca Zita, Ginestra, Pepella and Tintore, indigenous grapes from which wine is obtained Tramonti Costa d'Amalfi DOC.

Apicella is the historical brand of the Amalfi Coast's viticulture. First to bottle wine Tramonti, (Tramonti is the really lung and guardian of agricultural biodiversity of the region), Apicella has always balanced the production with traditiona and softly style.
The activities began officially in 1977, but the actual launch comes with the recognition of Doc, in 1993. Now Giuseppe is assisted by his sons Fiorina and Prisco, who graduated in Enology in Piedmont.

After more than thirty years The Winery Apicella keep intact the spirit of the early years.
In Giuseppe and his wife have joined theyr sons Fiorina and Prisco, and all together make about 50,000 bottles fora year, divided among the prestigious labels:
- Tramonti Costa d’Amalfi DOC, Red, Wite and Rosè;
- Piedirosso;
- Colle Santa Marina
- The sweet wine, Passion;
- The reserve, A’ Scippata;
- The Grappa di Tramonti.
